Munich's Castle Nymphenburg (above) has a great park, with canals, woods, meadows and smaller offsprings of the main castle. Adjacent to it you can find Munich's new Botanical Garden, which was created at the turn of the century. Besides a variety of plants that are more or less at home in Central Europe, there is also a hothouse with orchids and cacti.

The pictures below were all taken outdoors. Since I am no botanist, the inscriptions may be a bit inaccurate. (As usual, clicking on one of the thumbnails loads the original picture.)
